Top 3 Craziest World Records

Smallest or Tallest, heaviest or strongest; everyone gets exhilarated when it comes to the world records. From the very starting of the humankind, there has always been pretty standard world records held by different persons from time to time; for instance world’s tallest living man and woman, world’s shortest man and woman, world’s heaviest man and woman are passably most followed records. But, what has been treated as abnormal members of society and faced harsh criticism receives well appreciation from all over the world these days, thanks to the change in the taste of audience which attempts such people to go for craziest attempts ever made. Here is a list of Top 10 Craziest and bizarre world Records.

1. Largest Airplane Eaten.
Michel Lotito, a man who can digest whatever you put on his plate…and his plate too. Mr. Lotito was a French entertainer who was world famous for his ability to consume all indigestible materials including rubber, glass, metal and other material. He came into spotlight when he took two years to eat an airplane, Cessna 150; piece by piece.

He used a sledgehammer, acetylene torch and a bolt cutter to tear apart the plane’s metal and rubber parts while he ate glass directly from the plane using his hands and teeth only. The credit to his extraordinary digesting capacity goes to his abnormally thick stomach lining which allowed him to chew and pass all the not-so-nutritious materials just like every other Joe.

2. Most T-Shirts worn at once.
This off-the-wall category of World Records has seen many winners over past few decades. Sanath Bandra from Sri Lanka broke the previous record in front of a large gathering in a public park in Colombo, Sri Lanka on 22nd December, 2011 when he stopped after wearing 257 T-shirts… all at once. Sanath was a survivor of 2008 Weliveriya bombing in Sri Lanka and has been attempting to break the different world records since then.

3. The World’s tallest Mohican hairstyle.
The world record for tallest Mohican hairstyle goes to a Japanese fashion designer Kazuhiro Watanabe who has managed to grow his Mohican upto 113.5 centimeters (44.68 inches) high. According to Watanabe, it took him 15 years to grow his Mohican to such abnormal length and it takes a team to make this hairstyle two hours, three cans of hairspray and one jar of gel.

This Is Exactly How You Deal With Dirtbags Who Don't Know How To Park.

Finding a decent parking spot is one of life's most difficult challenges. It becomes even more frustrating when someone decides their car is worth more than all other cars by parking across two spaces.

The Kraken by COP4x4

Camp Crocker, the owner of COP4X4, is infamous in the Jeep building industry for his one of a kind creations. “The Kraken” is a prime example of the unique type of builds created at Phoenix, Arizona’s COP4x4. When purchasing a Jeep for a build, Camp has a few guidelines he follows. He prefers Jeeps to have around 130,000 miles and to be completely stock. Stock Jeeps are best. When creating the types of builds done at COP4x4, there is little to no room for error. Starting with stock Jeeps, COP4X4 doesn’t have to worry about the vehicle’s measurements and specs being compromised. The Jeep also needs to have the power package (locks and windows) and a hard top. Even with the high number of miles, most if not all of the drive train and many additional components will be updated when the build commences. Therefore, there is no advantage to start off with a lower mileage vehicle.

The motor of choice for this build was the 5.7 Hemi. Camp is known for dropping the 5.7 liter Hemi engine in his Jeeps. With that reputation, COP4x4 is one of the “go to” shops for those who are looking to drop a Hemi in their Jeep. The 350 HP motor was mated with a 545 RFE auto transmission. This is just what a Jeep like the Kraken needs to keep cruising at 75-80 MPH down the freeway. Of course, at 9 MPG one might be a little more selective on how often the Jeep is driven. The transfer case was updated with one from a Rubicon. The lower gear ratio will be well utilized when off-roading. The rear axle was replaced with one from a Ford F-350 because the added strain from the 54’’ tires would have snapped the stock axles.
Equipped with 20×12 Fuel brand wheels and 19.5/54/20 Mickey Thompson tires, this monstrosity is illegal to drive in California because the frame is 14″ too high. However, it’s legal in Arizona. Luckily for Camp, he only visits California and doesn’t live there. To compensate for the lift, the Kraken has a heavily modified Tereflex 6″ long-arm kit along with “TNT” custom front brackets as well as welded custom brackets for added third arm support. The Kraken also has a Tereflex heavy duty front steering system and assist ram.

For a most effective color scheme, Camp painted the trim to match the body and used billet round washers throughout the vehicle. The Kraken has several in-house COP4X4 brand parts as well. Examples are the solid aluminum door hinges and handles. He also added COP4x4 skins and sliders that add to the substantial look of the vehicle.  He added Smitty-built front and rear bumpers for a beefed up look, along with a Bulldog winch with synthetic rope. A winch is always a good thing to have along when off-roading, and Camp plans on personally testing his latest build.
When I asked Camp how difficult it was to drive this beast around, he replied “It drives and handles just like any other well-lifted jeep”. I thought he was being sarcastic. However, he let me take it for a spin, and I have to say that it really isn’t that much different and handled remarkably well.  Now, some may feel like they are operating an “AT-AT Walker” (the walking robot from the Empire Strikes Back for all the readers who aren’t nerds) but this beautifully modified Jeep drives as smooth as a standard lifted Jeep.
Camp has been busy making the rounds by taking his latest and biggest creation to well known events like the Moab Jeep Safari and the TDS Jeep Safari. Being a big supporter of our military, the COP4X4 Kraken was also designated as the lead vehicle in a military escort that passed through Arizona.
If you have been wishing you could modify your Jeep, the COP4X4 team can surely make your dreams come true.

3 Incredible Tales Of Cracks

1. The half-mile long crack that split the ground in Mexico

Everyday, somewhere, earthquakes of varying degrees occur. In August 2014, a huge crack in the ground appeared near the town of Hermosillo, Mexico. The fissure measures a little more than half a mile long and is 25 feet deep.

Researchers believe that water is the culprit behind this giant crack. According to Inocente Guadalupe Espinoza Maldonado, Head of the Geology Department at the University of Sonora, the crack was probably caused by sucking out groundwater for irrigation to the point of the surface collapsing.

Researchers at The Institute of Geology at UNAM in Hermosillo also ruled out the possibility that the crustaceous crack was a hoax or caused by an earthquake – the area is low on seismic activity and both sides of the fissure are on equal planes.

2.The crack in the ocean that is home to some of earth's most bizarre creatures

From the most distant regions of space we go to the deepest part of the ocean, the Mariana Trench. Located in the Western pacific, this crescent-shaped trench stretches for more than 2,500km (1,500 miles). This very narrow crack in the ocean floor has a depth that has been measured at 11km, seven miles down from the water's surface. That makes it the lowest point in any ocean. That's nearly 7,000 more feet deep than Mount Everest is high.

This giant crack underwater is due to one part of the seabed (the Pacific Plate) being pushed underneath the lighter continental plate.

Scientists believe that these seismic zones play an active role in earthquakes.

Even though the pressure of the Mariana trench can be up to 8 tons per square inch, there are many creatures that thrive in and around the area. Among them are translucent sea-cucumber-like animals called Enypniastes, the Blobfish (which looks like a cross between Jimmy Durante and a fish), the Hatchetfish (known to produce its own light), and the ominous Goblin Shark.

Although trenches account for only 3% of the ocean, they still make up an area the size of the United States.

3.The cracking iceberg that became a song

You've probably heard the expression, “That's music to my ears.” Well, an oceanographer at the University of Washington took that expression to heart when he recorded the cracking and breakup of one of the largest icebergs in Antarctica.

UW oceanographer Seelye Martin got the data from a seismometer that was dropped onto the iceberg and captured the sound of a giant iceberg breaking apart. Martin then sped up the recordings so the 3 ½ hours of data was compressed into 2 minutes. In describing the recording, Martin said that after it reaches a climax, “you hear this kind of eerie harmonic noise which is the remnants, the pieces of the iceberg rubbing together.”

Perhaps Martin should compile an album called The Sounds Of Global Warming Vol. 1 featuring this recording?
