The Underwater Egyptian City _ Lost and Found after 2000 years

One of the greatest discoveries ever made in the 21st century, a whole Egyptian city been found underwater near Alexandria under Abu-Qir bay waters in Egypt, the “Heracleion” also called “Thonis”, has been mentioned in ancient Greek historians, that its beginnings was back in the 12th century B.C, and that it was a wealthy city and was specially flourished in the 6th to the 4th century BC as been shown by many of the city’s finds, and it was considered as Egypt’s main port.

The city sank due to great earthquakes and floods in the 6th or 7th century A.D, and been found after almost 2000 years by the French underwater archaeologist Franck Goddio, and they found plenty of ruins such as:

Seeing This Dog May Shock You At First. But Keep Looking Because What Happened Is Amazing.

You’ll never find a dog like Pig, she is a one-in-a-million kind of canine. She was found in the woods near Atlanta, abandoned by her feral mother. The veterinarian who looked her over at first recommended putting the monstrous puppy down. When Kim Dillenbeck heard about the deformed puppy, she had to see her for herself.

Kim had rescued animals before, but never a dog like Pig. Without her adoptive mother’s help, she wouldn’t have been able to survive.

These Animals Look Totally Different Without Their Hair. The Bear Blew My Mind

Think of any of your beloved pets that you had throughout your life. You would probably recognize them from a mile away, in a crowd. Now, imagine your pets completely hairless.
You probably can’t. When an animal is without its fur, they’re almost completely unrecognizable. Think about getting a fluffy dog or cat wet; afterwards, it just looks like skin and bones. A lot of what we love about animals are their fur style and colorations. Without the hair (for whatever reason), they just look like little aliens.
And the results are either painfully cute… or absolutely terrifying.

1.) Rabbits: This little guy was born in 2009, almost completely hairless.

2.) Spectacled Bears: Dolores the spectacled bear, and her female companions at a zoo in Germany, all lost their hair.

Mopar Muscle is Monster Jam's first OEM monster truck in over a decade

New monster trucks seem to join the Monster Jam circuit every year, but it's not often that one gets the official blessing of an automaker. That's about to change, however, as Chrysler's truck division has teamed up once again with Hall Brothers Racing – which already fields the championship-winning Raminator and Rammunition trucks – to field the series' first new Original Equipment Manufacturer monster truck in over a decade.

Dubbed Mopar Muscle, the new Ram monster truck will debut at the Monster Jam in Detroit on Saturday at Ford Field, at the first of six such events in which Mike Miller (who, incidentally, named his son Hemi) will drive the truck throughout the year.

Here's what you need to know: Based on a 2014 Ram HD pickup (or at least made to look like one), Mopar Muscle stands 10 feet tall and weighs over 10,000 pounds, and it's powered by the legendary Gen II 426 Hemi that celebrates its 50th anniversary this year. But instead of leaving the massive 7.0-liter engine as is, Hall Brothers Racing enlarged it to 565 cubic inches – a mind-boggling 9.3 liters – and supercharged it to 2,000 horsepower. That's a whole lot of muscle no matter what it's packed into. Check it out in our high-res image gallery above. You can also check out the full schedule of events in the press release below to see if the truck is coming to your area this year.

J. Ruiter Reboot Buggy

"I've got a secret car club," designer Joey Ruiter tells me. The club in question is defined, in both spirit and literal membership, by the gold and black t-shirt he's wearing that bares the shorthand exclamation, "MIDZWL" across the chest. The letters are shorthand for the phrase "Might as well..." and represent the attitude of the kind of person it takes to build the vehicle I'm here to see and drive: the Reboot Buggy.

"Might as well" is a phrase uttered and heard with some frequency amongst the circles of car guys and tinkerers the world over. "Well, I needed to replace the front discs anyway, so I figured I might as well get a bigger set of Brembos. Then I wasn't sure I had exactly the clearance I needed from the wheel, so I guessed I might as well get a set of eighteens while I was at it; and at that point, I might as well do the rear brakes, too..." You know this guy. Perhaps you are this guy.

Ruiter is most certainly "that guy," as evidenced by the imposing black, open-topped-box vehicle that I'm wide-eyed over in his Grand Rapids, MI garage. The Reboot Buggy started as "the notion of a city car" and an "exercise in curiosity," and ended up here, with a vehicle that can jump over sand dunes, pick up the kid from school, turn every head that it passes and enthrall car writers like me enough to make the trip to come see it. The "Reboot" part of the sobriquet was meant as a concise definition – what you get when you strip away all the conventions of car building, and make a pure, functional vehicle. An eye for interesting form, a love of machines and more than a handful of MIDZWLs later, and you end up with this beastie. Henry Ford never had it so good.

A Look at the Wald International Black Bison Porsche Cayenne

Wald International is teasing us this time with their new Black Bison kit for the Porsche Cayenne. These unique Black Bison Edition cars have been a big hit for the tuning firm and we are always anxious to see what’s been released when a Wald email pops up in our inbox.
What we have here is the sculpting process of making the body kit, which will then be transferred to the molding phase to be put into productions. From we can see, a new aggressive front bumper with LED daytime running lights is the current focus, while wider wheel arches, side skirts, vents for the hood and spoilers will be installed as well.

While the interior has been left to our imagination, we do know some alloy wheels and exhaust tips will round out the exterior styling. Stay tuned for more Wald International tuning projects and check out more of their Black Bison line of cars and SUV’s to get an idea of what this Porsche Cayenne will turn out to be.

Chrysler Announces Recall for 76,000 Dodge Ram Trucks over Flaw in Brakes

Chrysler has announced a recall on about 76,000 Dodge Ram trucks, following a bulletin issued by the National Highway Traffic Safety Administration saying that some of these models may be affected with a flawed braking system.

The issue concerns the power steering in the pickup which could cause a delay in the returning of brake pedal. The automaker has included Ram trucks from the 2010 and 2011 model years assembled between March 2009 and October 2010 in the recall, which affects about 76,112 units of the pickup.
The NHTSA reported that some of the Rams using a diesel engine and a hydroboost brake system could be equipped with a faulty power steering reservoir cap whose excessive vent pressure levels may result in brake pedals return slowly after being applied.
The fault also stands to affect cars following the Rams owing to the rear brake lights taking longer than usual to turn off, which increases the risk of a crash. The automaker has confirmed that it has received 175 reports till date. Chrysler spokesman Vince Muniga said there have been no crashes or injuries reported though. He said the problem was first noticed by dealers and a modified cap will relieve some of the pressure causing the problem.
Chrysler plans to start notifying owners of the recall soon, after which the dealers will replace the power steering reservoir cap free of charge. Ram owners can contact the automaker at (800) 853-1403. However, the affected pickup owners will probably have to wait till February to have the fix done.

First 2011 Dodge Durango Rolls off Chrysler Production Lines at Jefferson

Chrysler has announced that the first 2011 Dodge Durango rolled off the production lines on Tuesday at the Chrysler Group’s Jefferson North Assembly Plant (JNAP) in Detroit. UAW Vice President General Holiefield and Dodge Brand CEO Ralph Gilles celebrated the event at the plant.

This is the first time that a Dodge has been churned out of the JNAP plant ever since it began functioning in 1992. The Jefferson plant is also currently assembling the 2011 Jeep Grand Cherokee.
The new Dodge Durango was declared earlier this year in September, which was a comeback for Dodge in the SUV market. Based on the unibody platform of the Jeep Grand Cherokee, the new Durango has been designed for the driver and offers exceptional road-handling. The three-row SUV flaunts some classy exteriors, a yawning interior and some heavy-duty suspension.
Buyers will be offered with some tempting powertrain options and will get the choice of two engines-a 3.6-L V6 or a 5.7-L Hemi V8, with an assured promise of fuel-efficiency. When it comes to towing, the V6 will have a capability of tugging along 6,200 lbs and the V8 will manage up to 7,400 lbs. Air bags and electronic stability control come as standard on the Durango.
As for the price tag, the 2011 Dodge Durango Express model starts at $29,195 for the rear-wheel-drive and $31,195 for the all-wheel drive, plus an $850 destination charge. The SUV is expected to be at dealers by the end of this year.

Jeep Wrangler by Vilner takes extreme luxury off-road

Vilner turned its customary and intensely luxurious attentions to a two-door Jeep Wrangler Sahara Unlimited back in 2012, following that up this year with its take on the four-door version. A coat of lustrous black paint outside is brightened up LED headlights, foglights and taillights and layers of chrome laid on the grille, mirrors, door handles and fuel filler cap.

Stance gets an injection of brawn from the 20-inch wheels, and they'll roll faster thanks to the power upgrade from 197 horsepower and 339 pound-feet of torque in the 2.8-liter diesel to 257 hp and 412 lb-ft.

Inside is furious red, with cross-stitched crimson leather and Alcantara demanding your focus. When you can look away from that, you'll find the raw metal parts painted black and again ornamented in minor applications of chrome. Feel free to feast on it in the high-res gallery above.

Why Mopar won't release a factory lift kit for the new Jeep Cherokee

The Jeep Cherokee Dakar concept showed off at the 2014 Easter Jeep Safari made a lot of online friends, even the Cherokee naysayers assenting that there's a monster Jeep underneath the Cherokee's skin if you're willing to go in and get it. But after reading Road & Track's write-up of what went into creating the Dakar, particularly its lift, you'll understand why you'll probably never see the components for it in the Jeep Performance Parts catalog.

The concept's press release mentions a "prototype Jeep Performance Parts lift kit, and additional suspension modifications." The short-story explanation is that the front struts on the standard Cherokee weren't engineered to accept any amount of lift, so the long story begins with the phrase, "an entirely new suspension." Head over to RT to read the details, and don't be afraid to ogle the Cherokee Dakar gallery and another awesome Jeep fancy that won't likely crawl over the hurdles imposed by production reality.

Chrysler Recalls 159 Ram Pickups to Replace Transmissions

Chrysler Group has recalled around 159 trucks to inspect and replace the transmissions. The vehicles that will be affected by this recall are certain model-year 2014 Ram 1500 pickups manufactured in late January and early February, 2014. The affected vehicles were built with eight-speed automatic transmissions.

According to the automaker, a supplier advised them that a small shipment of its transmissions contain a defect that may prevent a vehicle from shifting into park. Chrysler Group is unaware of any associated injuries, accidents or customer complaints. Service technicians will inspect these vehicles to determine if the defect is present and replace the transmission if found defective at free of cost.
The Chrysler Group said they will contact owners of defective vehicles and advise them on scheduling the vehicle for service. Vehicles subject to this campaign number approximately 125 in the U.S., 32 in Canada and two outside the NAFTA region.

The 4.5 billion year old fukang meteorite.

The 4.5 billion year old fukang meteorite.
Back in the year 2000, a 1,003 kilogram meteorite was discovered near Fukang, a city located in the northwestern region of Xinjiang, China. Named the ‘Fukang meteorite‘, it was identified as a pallasite, a type of stony–iron meteorite, with striking olivine crystals throughout. Pallasites are extremely rare even among meteorites (only about 1% of all meteorites are this type) and Fukang has been hailed as one of the greatest meteorite discoveries of the 21st century.
